Honolulu’s gas prices have once again increased to more than $4 a gallon, according to an article posted by the Star-Advertiser.
The prices are averaging $4.004 a gallon for regular gas, and about a penny higher than yesterday. Although at some places it’s higher; gas at Chevron in Koko Marina Center was $4.05 for regular gas this morning. It’s 5 cents more than last week and a whopping 13 cents higher than last months average in Honolulu, according to the Star-Advertiser.
Honolulu has joined the crew; neighbor islands gas prices have been more than $4 a gallon for a while.
In Wailuku gas prices average at about $4.41 a gallon, 2 cents higher than last week and 3 cents higher than last month. Similar with Hilo; Hilo’s prices average at about $4.31, which is 4 cents higher than last week and 11 cents higher than last month, reported the Star-Advertiser.
With a statewide average of $4.15 a gallon, Hawai’i has the highest gas prices in the nation, and is the only state with gas priced more than $4. The national average of gasoline is now $3. 467 a gallon, having raised 1.2 cents today, the Star-Advertiser reported. Regular unleaded is now 17.9 cents higher than last month, and 35.1 cents higher than it was at the same time last year.
