High Tea Event Brings KCC Alumni back to their roots

Saturday,  March 24, Kapi`olani Community College Alumni and friends Chapter held their at Ka ‘Ikena Laua‘e and Tamarind in ‘Ohelo. The event was called High Tea at Kap CC. The event started at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  People in attendance dress in causal wear and wore hats. As guests talked amongst themselves they were served tea, scones with clotted cream, sweetmeats and petite sandwiches

The event was decorated with island accents. Guest made their way through the two different silent auction areas and to the Twice as Nice thrift sale. All money raised from the silent auction and Twice as Nice will be used in future Kapiʻolani Community College Alumni events and future scholarships.

The three guest speakers were alumni of Kapio’lani Community College. Mike Sliva, Masako McCarter and Scott Murakami were all recognized for their contribution’s in giving back to the community. Each person told the crowd how Kapi’olani Community College made an impact in their  lives.
