Welcome, students, to the new year. According to the Chinese zodiac calendar, 2013 is the year of the snake.
Not only does this momentous occasion mark a new year and a new beginning, but it also celebrates Kapiolani Community College’s 25th anniversary of the Kapiʻolani International Festival. KCC will host a variety of venues on campus from March 18 to March 21, and will recognize the ethnic diversity of the community and the world. The International Festival, which is put out every spring semester — a smaller-scaled festival, International Education Week, takes place every fall semester — will feature guest lecturers, art, martial arts, performances of ethnic music, dance and fashion.
