The Lama Library is scheduled to be fully open in time for the spring 2014 semester.
After multiple delays, such as carpet installation for the first floor, the new estimated completion date should be on or around Dec. 1, according to a notice from Susan Murata, head librarian.
But instead of moving services back to the first floor right away, the library will continue to offer their normal operations from the 2nd floor. This way students are not disrupted during finals week.
The Testing Center will continue to run from Lama 118 and 119.
To accommodate for finals, COMPASS Testing will not be available from Dec. 13 to 20 due to the limited amount of computers. The library is also working on securing additional space and computers to aid the mass amount of students taking exams.
