I hope the first few weeks of school is going well for you all. I just wanted to take a few minutes to talk about KapCC’s parking situation.
Do you notice that these first few weeks of school, students are coming tremendously early to school? And then there’s no open parking?! Isn’t it so frustrating!? It seems that enrollment is up this semester, or more people got their licenses. I understand there is limited space for parking lots and such, but I don’t understand, why don’t people start carpooling? Maybe even the bus?
I am sure there are a bunch of students here who live in town or who live near one another. Or maybe the bus runs very close to your house? For me at least, I catch the bus a few times a week and then I drive to school a few times a week. I also take some friends to and from school if they ask.
Another thing, do you notice how a lot of people park like jerks? Either on the line, in the other persons stall, very crooked, or so close to your car you cannot get in? I just need to ask, why?
I am a female, and I know we have a reputation for not being the best drivers, but I fix my parking if I notice it’s not perfect (or in my stall). I think the students who are doing this are either late for class or just lazy to fix it.
Does anyone have any other solutions? Or comments? If so, let me know!
