Noah’s Ark found?

Archeological remains may have been found by a group of Chinese and Turkish evangelical explorers, according to FoxNews.com. They made this discovery on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey.

The group explained that the carbon dates the relics have 4,800 years, the time that is said to have been when the ark was afloat. This mountain is perhaps the final resting place of the this ark.

Over the years there have been other reported discoveries of having found the remains of Noah’s ark, the most notable by archaeologist Ron Wyatt in 1987. His was also a boat-like object found in the mountains of Ararat.

Although this find seems to me more likely the actual artifact. Gerrit Aalten, a Dutch Ark researcher said that this is really the first time that the ark is well documented and revealed to a worldwide community, according to FoxNews.com.

The wooden beams found in the structure were said to have been used to house the animals on the boat. The article also reports that the group of evangelical archaeologists ruled out an human settlement that high above the ground.

Mount Ararat is the highest point in the region and is said that after the waters receded after God sent the flood, this is where the ark and the inhabitants landed, according to FoxNews.com.
