‘The Hunger Games’ brings in the crowds

The day has finally come, movie theaters across the country open up their doors to fans and those alike to the anticipated book become movie,
“The Hunger Games.”

Fans lined up across the country to welcome the movie into theaters.

The first of the three part series, written by Suzanne Collins reportedly brought in $19.7 million, at the midnight screenings across the country, according to CNN.com.

Though the movie did not beat the money brought in by three “Harry Potter” movies and the “Twilight” movies. Though still raked in a lot of money for a midnight screening.

“The Hunger Games” could take in at least $50 million by Friday and up to $150 million over the full weekend.

Not familiar with the books, and now movie, head over to the bookstore and start reading. The series consists of: “The Hunger Games,” “Catching Fire,” “Mocking Jay.”
